What’s new in this Update?
In “Group Chat” you’ll notice a new tab called “Public Groups”.
“Public Groups” is a great new beta feature that allows you to view and participate in public groups accessible by everyone, whether they have Xumii on their phone or not. P.C. users can view Xumii Groups on their web browsers.
Note: As Xumii Groups are still in beta, you’ll be able to view the public groups that you have created or have already joined within your Xumii Mobile App. You can join a group on the P.C. version.
Xumii is now available off the Globe Telecom deck under “Free Apps.” It’s great to see users in the Philippines connecting with friends and family all around the world with Xumii!
Quick tip: Tell your buddies that Xumii’s a free download. Once they join Xumii you can all set up chat groups with each other.
iPhone owners have plenty of choices when it comes to merging their IM accounts. They also have over 70 options for free mobile social media apps. What we’ve yet to see done right, however, is an app that merges the convenience of IM with the social utility we need.
Xumii, a mobile social address book available for a smattering of phones, has just released their free iPhone app that almost perfectly bridges the gap between social media sharing and chat functionality for all your contacts.
If you’re a new Xumii iPhone user, note that Xumii is available on dozens of handsets, not just the iPhone or iPod Touch, so your friends with Nokias can join in the fun too!
Xumii is now available and working not only for the second generation iPod Touch but also for first generation iPod Touch.
Some iPod Touch users may have encountered problems in the past few days. Never fear, we’ve been listening closely. We’ve enhanced Xumii, so if you have an iPod Touch 1g, the new version is ready for you to download right now.
Feel free to contact us on our iPhone / iPod Touch support forum with feedback!
We’re pleased to present Xumii iPhone App-download it for free from the iTunes App store!
Tell your friends. Once they have Xumii you’ll be able to share those flickr summer vacation photos in AIM chats and call your mom after reading her latest Facebook status update, all from one place!
