Xumii Blog For The Socially Mobile

We have a new update for the Xumii app on your phone and we’re going to deliver this straight to your handset the next time you open Xumii.

The next time you sign into Xumii, you’ll see this message:

You need to download the latest Xumii beta release – get it now!

Select Ok and you’ll next see the Xumii Download page. Just click on the “Download Xumii” link and you will get the latest version.

• This upgrade doesn’t affect the iPhone Mobile App.
• If you are a BlackBerry user just point your mobile web browser to http://m.xumii.com/get to download the update.

What’s new in this Update?

In “Group Chat” you’ll notice a new tab called “Public Groups”.

“Public Groups” is a great new beta feature that allows you to view and participate in public groups accessible by everyone, whether they have Xumii on their phone or not. P.C. users can view Xumii Groups on their web browsers.

Note: As Xumii Groups are still in beta, you’ll be able to view the public groups that you have created or have already joined within your Xumii Mobile App. You can join a group on the P.C. version.
