We’ve released version of Xumii 1.17.15.
We’ll be delivering the upgrade straight to your phone the next time you sign into Xumii. There will be no need to uninstall and then reinstall. Just select “yes” to an upgrade the next time you sign in. Then just sit back and we’ll take care of the rest.
The new version of Xumii offers a faster loading time and improved connectivity. It’s smoother sailing, whether you’re sharing photos from your Facebook account or chatting with buddies on AIM or GoogleTalk.
And if you haven’t upgraded recently, there are scores of cool new features in our recent upgrades, such as signing up for social networks from within Xumii and new tabs organizing your contacts and chats by social network.
In-Application Registration is one of our newer upgrades.

Xumii has been nominated for the MobileMonday Peer Awards 2009 by MobileMonday Sydney!
The MobileMonday Mobile Peer Awards are among the most influential events in the mobile industry and, with over 1000 attendants, the point of reference in startup innovation during the Mobile World Congress.
163 startups participated and 42 nominees (including Xumii) were selected for this round. We’re quite honoured to be MobileMonday Sydney’s pick!
An international Jury will now select the 20 finalists to present at the Peer Awards event in Barcelona.
The finalists chosen to present in Barcelona will be announced on January 26, culminating in a final award ceremony on February 16th, 2009.

Xumii has just pushed out a new and improved version. Existing Xumii users, simply sign-in and a notice to update appears automatically. If you don’t have Xumii yet, get it now!
- Check up on your recent chats – The newest chats now have their own tab in the Friend Chat section–check out “Recent.”
- More organized contact lists – Have tons of buddies? Now there are tabs for each social network so that your Facebook or AOL buddies have their own lists.
- Faster start-up – We don’t want to keep you waiting.
- In-Application Sign-up – New users can sign up and add identities from Xumii on their phone.
- Uploading larger images- You can upload photographs larger than 250K from your phone into your facebook, flickr and myspace social networking photo albums.
